Pinwheels for Prevention

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and in 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign. Pinwheels represent the joy, innocence, and bright futures all children deserve, growing up happy, healthy, and supported by strong families and communities.
This year, the La Rabida Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), a program of La Rabida Children’s Hospital, will plant 514 pinwheels. Each one will represent a child we helped this year, spreading awareness and recognizing the importance of resilience, healing, and hope.
The mission of the CAC is to reduce trauma for children and families impacted by abuse and violence through a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach. Our team brings together law enforcement, child protection investigators, prosecutors, medical professionals, and mental health providers to ensure children receive the care and support they need. Services include forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and ongoing support—all at no cost to families.
💙 Be part of this powerful recognition.
Help us fill our Garden of Hope and stand with the children we serve.
