2023 Friends of La Rabida Awards Celebration

Thank you everyone who took part in the  37th Annual Friends of La Rabida Awards Celebration held on Thursday, November 16th at The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago!

This year’s gala celebrated the hospital’s vital work and mission of caring for children living with complex medical conditions. We recognized two wonderful, longtime friends of the hospital: Ariel Investments and The Alvin H. Baum Family Fund.

Kairo Walks Out of La Rabida
Two year old Kairo first arrived at La Rabida’s Acute Care Clinic in December after his mother found him nearly unresponsive at daycare. After stabilizing him, Kairo was transferred by EMS for higher-level care for seizures and non-responsiveness.
