Play This Forward Event

In honor of World Rare Disease Day, Sharing Notes teamed up with Harmony 4 Hope, another local nonprofit organization that uses music-centered initiatives to improve the lives of children battling rare diseases, to donate iPods loaded with music for La Rabida inpatients.

The Play This Forward Campaign asked the community to donate iPods that were refurbished, packed with music performed by Sharing Notes and delivered to La Rabida patients on World Rare Disease Day, February 27.

Over the weekend our friends from Sharing Notes and Harmony for Hope, hosted a very special event in our Child Life Pavilion. Thanks to their efforts La Rabida received the generous gift of 27 repurposed iPods along with chargers, headphones and USB chords.

“La Rabida staff and patients are grateful to Sharing Notes and Harmony 4 Hope for the generous and thoughtful donation of iPods and music for our patients,” says Colleen Harper, Director, Developmental, Rehabilitative and Child Life Services. “The iPods are already bringing joy and excitement to our patients.”

Many thanks to both groups for making the gift of music to our patients!
