Women's Board of La Rabida to Host 5th Annual Lace & Pearls Lawn Fete on July 16th

A summer sun setting on Lake Michigan will provide a majestic backdrop for a fête fundraiser at La Rabida Children’s Hospital on Thursday, July 16th.

Reminiscent of elegant and graceful affairs quintessential of the early 1900s, the 5th Annual Lace & Pearls Lawn Fête will unfold on La Rabida’s scenic playground from 6 to 10 p.m., featuring fashion, food and melodious tunes sure to delight.

Buffet
Guests will feast on a gourmet buffet prepared by popular Chicago chefs, to include: la petite folie of Hyde Park; Lagniappe Creole Cajun Joynt; Gibson’s Steak House; Washburne Culinary Institute’s Parrot Cage Restaurant; Chef Morrie Elstien; and Starz Custom Catering. This year’s beverage sponsor is Goose Island Brewery.

Performances
Chicago’s own South Shore Drill team, an award-winning performing arts ensemble, will leave guests breathless with a precision seaside musical rendition.

And, the Latin Rhythms and Adult Contemporary Music of guitarist Joey Edwin will whisper in the background as Russian clothing designer Yana German emcees a runway fashion show of her latest sleek collection.
