Women in Support of La Rabida Cruise Raises More than $38,000

More than $38,000 was raised to help support  La Rabida Children’s Hospital programs with the annual Cruisin’ On a Sunday Afternoon fundraiser aboard the Mystic Blue at Navy Pier. 

Women in Support of La Rabida (WIS) drew nearly 400 cruisers for a summer afternoon of dining and dancing and spectacular views of Chicago’s skyline earlier this month.

Sponsors for this worthy event were Joyce Johnson-Miller of the Relativity Fund, LP, Gloria Pitts of the James and Gloria Pitts Foundation, Playboy Foundation, and Karen Parker.

Supporters packed the three-level ship, enjoying music, dancing, and a scrumptious brunch buffet.

Raffle winners took home exciting gifts that included spa packages, theater tickets, a dinner cruise, and a personal training session.
