Michael Cleavenger Joins La Rabida Children's Hospital As Vice President of Development

Michael Cleavenger joins La Rabida Children’s Hospital as Vice President of Development, bringing more than a decade of experience in Chicago’s non profit sector.

Reporting to the hospital’s CEO, Paula Jaudes, MD, Cleavenger leads the hospital’s fund development efforts, including its annual, planned, and grant giving initiatives, capital raising campaigns, and special events. He will work closely with the La Rabida Board of Trustees and serve on the board’s Development and Major Gift Committees.

Prior to joining the hospital, Cleavenger most recently served as Vice President of Development for the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Earlier experience includes positions with notable not-for-profit organizations including Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago History Museum, Merit Music and the Illinois Institute of Technology. His contributions to Chicago not-for-profit organizations follow a career as an entrepreneur and owner of several businesses.

He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals He is active as a volunteer/ board member in numerous organizations, reflecting his interests in health, education, and the performing arts.
