Kevin V. Rath Joins La Rabida Children's Hospital As Associate Vice President of Business Developmen

Kevin V. Rath joins La Rabida Children’s Hospital as Associate Vice President of Business Development and External Affairs, bringing 25 years of hospital experience to his new role.

Rath will be responsible for executing the hospital’s business development strategies, increasing the hospital’s patient referral network and designing programs and services to strengthen the long-tem viability of the hospital.

Rath also will have oversight of government, community and public relations, ensuring that La Rabida’s constituents understand hospital’s role in the city’s healthcare delivery system as it relates to the treatment of children with chronic illness and those with medically complex conditions.

Rath previously served as Director of Corporate Outreach at Children’s Memorial Hospital, where he held increasingly responsible positions during a 17- year tenure.

Rath maintains, “La Rabida is a very important resource in Chicago. I look forward to expanding the hospital’s reach to referrers and parents of children with special needs.’’

Rath received a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in healthcare from Benedictine University, Lisle, IL and a Bachelor’s of Therapeutic Recreation from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL. He has been published in various professional journals and has presented to a number of industry conferences.
